Community Forum 6
On June 22nd the Town of Frisco held its 6th Community Plan Meeting. The theme of the meeting was “celebrate Frisco”. Attendees were given the draft plan for their review and input. If you were unable to attend, please download a copy of the plan to view. All comments on the plan are due to staff by July 5th, 2011. You can email them to jocelynm@townoffrisco.com or drop written comments to Town Hall at 1 Main Street.
The keynote speaker, extreme skier Chris Anthony (www.chrisanthony.com) presented the Long Cold Walk; his participation with the Warren Miller film crew’s journey to northwest China to visit a village where skiing has been part of their culture for centuries.
Part of the meeting also consisted of community members being challenged to continue to find ways to continue to be involved in our community and take actions that help to strengthen “sense of community.” Check out what actions you can take or find more suggestions made by many people and groups at www.bettertogether.org.
Next steps for the draft Frisco Community Plan – once all public comment is provided, staff will finalize the document and present it to Planning Commission on July 7 and then to Town Council on July 26 for consideration of adoption.
