Reforestation Initiative. The Town is reimbursing up to $500 to residents who plant new trees to replace pine beetle infested trees that have been removed on their property. New this year (2009), the Town will give up to $1500 to HOAs that replace trees on common property.
The program will reimburse up to $100 per new tree planted to replace pine beetle infested trees that have been removed, up to a maximum of $500 per resident and up to a maximum of $1500 per HOA. The number of trees planted must be equal to or less than the number of trees removed. Residents seeking reimbursements must fill out a simple onepage form and mail or fax it back to the Town of Frisco. Forms will not be accepted until May 15th. Refunds from the Frisco Sustainable Building Code. Under the Town’s Sustainable Building Code, any proposed development/building project that receives 115 points or higher may be eligible to receive a refund of the Town’s plan review fees for that project. Building construction projects, including insulate and seal, window replacements, and boiler/furnace upgrades may be eligible to receive a refund of the Town’s plan review fees for these projects.
