Soil Sample Retrieval Work at the Frisco Bay Marina March 20 – April 7
The Town of Frisco will be working in the Frisco Bay Marina starting Monday, March 20th, to collect soil samples. All work will be done by the Town of Frisco’s Public Works Department using an excavator. The soils will be collected and tested with minimal disturbance to the ground. The area for seven of the twelve tests pits is currently dry. Those areas will be tested first with the remainder of the tests occurring once the water levels have dropped to even further levels.
The Town of Frisco currently holds a Department of the Army Permit (#SPK-2010-00673) to excavate materials in the Frisco Bay Marina. This proposed work to dig up to twelve soil test pits is covered under the Town of Frisco’s Department of the Army Permit with permission granted from Denver Water. The goal of this project is to help determine the type of material present for future excavation and Marina projects.
