Town of Frisco Announces April 28, 2009 Special Municipal Mail Ballot Election
The Frisco Town Council is authorizing a special municipal mail-ballot election to be held Tuesday April 28. Voters will be asked the question of whether to amend Subsection 14-3 of the Town’s Charter to limit the sale, lease, subdivision, or donation of Town-owned property greater than five acres in size only upon a vote of the electors.
Persons desiring to vote in the upcoming election, who have not registered to vote, must do so by Monday, March 30 at 5:00 p.m. Persons may register to vote at Frisco Town Hall, 1 Main Street, Frisco or at the County Courthouse, 208 Lincoln Street, Breckenridge.
Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters between the 3rd and 13th of April. Mailing information must be up-to-date with the Summit County elections office in order to receive a mail-in ballot. Any voter who will be absent from his/her residence during the mailing period for ballots may contact the Town Clerk to request an application for an absentee ballot. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 24.
All ballots must be turned in by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, April 28. Postmarks do not count.
