Town of Frisco Receives Award for their Popular Annual Financial Report
The Town of Frisco has received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for its Popular Annual Financial Report (Community Scorecard) for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011. The award is given by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting was received for the Town’s 2011 Community Scorecard and is a prestigious national award, recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports. In order to receive this award a government unit must publish a Popular Annual Financial Report, whose contents conform to program standards of creativity, presentation, understandability and reader appeal. Finance Director, Bonnie Moinet, stated, “I am very happy to be a part of this project. It is a collaboration of all Town departments and I am proud of the document we produce. My personal thanks to all who contributed.”
This is the third consecutive year that the Town of Frisco has won the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting.
