The Town of Frisco invites community members to share their input on the goals and policies that will shape the future of Frisco. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge, 621 Recreation Way. The purpose of this meeting is to share information gained from the community outreach process and gain feedback on the proposed goals and policies that will be included in the Community Plan.
During the community outreach process for our Community Plan update, staff has heard a great deal about maintaining Frisco’s eclectic character and opportunities for enhancing our community. “We’ve heard a lot from community members about the unique appeal that Frisco has. Our focus throughout the update process has been ‘what can we do to preserve and enhance the assets that make Frisco an attractive, vibrant, and welcoming community’,” said Planner Susan Lee.
The meeting format will consist of a short presentation at 5:30 pm, to orient participants, followed by an open format workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to visit, and provide comments at six stations focused on each of the topics that the Community Plan will address. These include: community design, land use and economy, housing, recreation, mobility, and the environment. Attendees should plan on spending an hour or more reviewing existing conditions, aerial photos, and sharing their thoughts on the character and future possibilities for each of our parks. Light refreshments will be served and children are welcome.
