Frisco Invites Non-Profits to Partner with Town for Concerts in the Park

The Town of Frisco is opening the application process for local non-profits to partner with Frisco’s 2021 Concerts in the Park series, which is returning to the Historic Park for live shows on Thursdays, spanning from June 17 to September 2, 2021. While the Town has been working with the Health Department to move ahead with concert dates and general plans, due to the current and projected status of local public health orders, the Town will only be offering event partnership opportunities for the Concerts series this summer. The series however, has been expanded to include three additional shows.

As the Town welcomes back these live events, ongoing precautionary measures will remain in place to protect the safety of all attendees, volunteers, and production staff.

Concerts in the Park, like all Town of Frisco events, are designed to meet the Town of Frisco’s community goals and sustainability efforts, as well as draw visitors and highlight Frisco’s amenities. Non-profits can participate by providing key event services, while raising funds for their organizations.  Since 2010, the Town of Frisco non-profit event partnership has contributed over $450,000 to non-profits through this program.

“We have always valued everything that our local nonprofit organizations do in the community and we’re excited to bring back a little fun and fundraising this summer. This partnership helps everyone because it gives non-profits very structured and low risk ways to benefit from community events, while fulfilling vital roles at events as trusted partners,” stated Nora Gilbertson, Frisco Events Manager.

Interested non-profits can go to the  Town of Frisco Non-Profit page to find the 2021 events partnership application. Applicants are asked to submit the completed application along with the additional requested documentation no later than April 16, 2021, and will be notified of their selection status no later than April 30, 2021. Non-profit partners should be a 501(c) (3), (6), or (7) in good standing with the IRS, and should emphasize their benefit to the Frisco community in their application.
