Fuels Reduction Work Near North Tenmile Trail Starts August 15

The Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) will be performing fuels reduction work near the North Tenmile trail in Frisco on weekdays, from 7:00am to 7:00pm starting August 15, 2022 and continuing through the end of September. The work will occur on 17 acres of Town of Frisco property surrounding the Frisco Water Tank, in a corridor adjacent to the North Tenmile trail. The work will involve cutting down standing dead trees and placing trees into slash piles to be burned at a later date, when conditions allow.

To ensure safety for trail users and the work crew, a flagger will close the trail temporarily whenever the crew is removing a tree within 1.5 tree-lengths from the trail. Each safety closure of the trail will last no longer than 30 minutes. Tree felling will not occur on weekends and all trails will remain completely open on those days. The Town of Frisco thanks North Tenmile trail users for their patience and cooperation while crews perform this work.
