Shape Frisco’s Future By Weighing in on the Final Draft of the Comprehensive Plan

The Town of Frisco is seeking feedback on the Frisco Comprehensive Plan draft, which is now 95% complete. Through March 21, 2025, the 95% completed Plan draft will be available for review and comment, and community members are encouraged to provide this final feedback to ensure that the Frisco Comprehensive Plan reflects the community’s vision.

Comprehensive Plan Background

In January 2024, the Town of Frisco began the process of developing a new Comprehensive Plan by partnering with Design Workshop to develop the Frisco Comprehensive Plan. The Town also received a $100,000 grant award from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) to develop a Comprehensive Plan for the Town, and over the past eight months, the Town has been working closely with community members and key stakeholders to identify core values and priorities for Frisco’s future. A survey was conducted in June 2024 to gather feedback that shaped the framework for Frisco’s Comprehensive Plan, and many events have already been hosted to provide the community with opportunities to share ideas for Frisco’s future.

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

In the State of Colorado, a Comprehensive Plan is required by the State and intended to guide growth and development. A well-crafted Comprehensive Plan should reflect the community’s vision and goals for the future and address various elements such as land use, transportation, recreation, economics, water, and the natural environment. The Comprehensive Plan may be used as a long-range tool to guide policy decisions throughout the Town, as well as supporting guiding amendments to the Town’s Unified Development Code so it aligns with the community’s vision.
