Town Clean Up Day & Appreciation Party

Join the Town of Frisco Saturday, May 19, 2018, as we clean the streets of Frisco after the snow melts – and get a free lunch accompanied by live music at a gathering after clean up as a “thank you” for your efforts.

UPDATE posted on Saturday, May 19, 2018

The snow stayed up high so we are all systems go for a 9:00am start. Please bring a rain jacket just in case the patches of blue sky we see now don’t hold up. Thank you for getting out there and giving the town a good cleaning.

THE LOWDOWN

Meet on Main Street between 1st Avenue & 2nd Avenue outside of the Frisco Historic Park & Museum at 120 Main Street Frisco, CO 80443. Clean up check-in begins at 9:00am and that is where participants can pick up canvas gloves, orange bags and receive area assignments (or just go to their favorite clean up spot).  Participants will also receive a lunch ticket, 2 beverage tickets (beer for those 21 and over only) and a door prize ticket.

TIPS

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and comfortable walking shoes.
  • Pick out a spot you see or walk every day and plan to do clean up there or be assigned to a location.
  • Bring lots of family and friends- it makes the morning go a lot faster.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BBQ

After clean up, there will be some music, door prizes and Town Council members will be grilling up and serving food at the Frisco Historic Park!  Safeway, 5th Avenue Grill, The Lost Cajun and The Butterhorn Bakery are providing the food for the BBQ and Outer Range Brewing Co. is donating the beer.

All food waste will be composted and all supplies will be recyclable when available – so there will be minimal waste going to the landfill after this event.  Frisco strives to be environmentally friendly with our events and walks the walk with our Zero Waste Picnic Lunch which is a “thank you” to volunteers.

DOOR PRIZES

Several local businesses have been kind enough to donate some amazing gift certificates and prizes to be given away at the event as a “thank you” to lucky volunteers!

Think you picked up the “Grossest”, “Most Unique” or “Most Valuable” item in Frisco on Clean-Up Day in 2018?  Hang on to it (if you can stand it) and submit it to see if you win a special prize!
