The 5 Star program, which allows businesses who have gone above and beyond to prioritize employee and customer health and safety to operate at increased capacity, is now open to Personal Services businesses. Personal services includes barber shops, hair and nail salons, body art studios, pet groomers, etc. Visit the personal services guidelines on the CDPHE webpage which includes guidance regarding which businesses fit into this category. The chart below indicates capacities for 5 Star certified businesses, versus non-certified businesses bases on each level of the COVID-19 Dial.

Qualifying Personal Services Businesses:

On top of increased capacity, advantages to operating as a 5 Star business include:
•A boost in marketing, as 5 Star businesses are listed on both the Town of Frisco website, as well as Summit County’s website.
•Customers may choose your business over a non-certified business specifically because of your higher commitment to safety.
•Businesses may operate under the 5 Star guidelines as soon as they pass inspection and receive certification.
