In late 2016, Frisco Town Council decided to move ahead with this workforce housing project on Town owned land at 306 Galena Street. This project includes the construction of 8 new units of workforce housing: one studio, five 1-bedroom units and two 2-bedroom units. Four of these new units will be rented to Town of Frisco employees, with the remaining four units being committed as rentals to employees working an average minimum of 30 hours per week in Frisco. The already existing 2-bedroom unit in the historic Mary Ruth House on this property is also being improved with better insulation and with the installation of more energy efficient windows, bringing the total amount of workforce housing on this parcel up to nine units.Funding for the units being built as rentals for Town of Frisco employees is coming out of the Town’s capital improvement fund, and funding for the units being rented to employees of Frisco businesses is coming from 5A revenues. The Town of Frisco anticipates managing these properties and administering the housing lottery for these units in late 2018. These long term rental units and pets will be allowed with permission. Construction began in April 2018.

We are excited to announce that four rental units will be available for employees working in Frisco and/or the Ten Mile Basin area. The units will be ready to move into between November 15th and December 1st, 2018.
