Instrument and Bicycle Donations

Instrument Donations

The Frisco Arts and Culture Council (FACC) is collecting donated musical instruments to support local youth in the Summit Middle School Band program. They are specifically looking for tubas, alto saxophones, flutes, and trombones. Instruments should be functioning, but we will accept instruments that need minor repairs. For additional instrument donations, please contact Blair Miller, Frisco Historic Park & Museum Manager, at BlairM@townoffrisco.com.

Bicycle Donations

The Town of Frisco has partnered with Bicycles for Humanity Colorado (B4H), a Colorado-based nonprofit organization that uses 100% of donations to improve access to mobility challenges in African communities, a fundamental barrier to development. Poor transport systems mean poor access to critical services and medication. Bicycles, delivered through community-based bike shops provide sustainable mobility solutions for rural Africans. Since 2008, B4H has delivered over26,000bikes to communities in Namibia, Zambia, and Tanzania, enabling improved access to healthcare, education and employment.

Repair Fair More Information

The Town of Frisco’s Repair Fair was launched in 2022 by the Town’s employee-led sustainability committee, the Green Team. The event was inspired by existing programs developed by several outdoor gear manufacturers that facilitate the repair, reuse, resale, and recycling of used gear.

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 146.1 million tons of solid waste ended up in landfills across the country in 2018, with materials most commonly used in outdoor equipment, such as plastics, leather, and textiles, comprising over 29% of that waste.

For more information and questions on the Repair Fair, please contact Nico Cruz, Town of Frisco Sustainability Coordinator, at NicoC@TownofFrisco.com.
