Driver’s License & Vehicle Registration Offices
The Town of Frisco does not handle drivers’ licenses or motor vehicle registrations. The State of Colorado and Summit County Government do respectively. The information below is provided to support the Frisco community, but please note that your driver’s license and vehicle registration needs cannot be taken care of at Frisco Town Hall. Please see below for information about where and when you can take care of your driver’s license and vehicle registration needs.
Drivers’ licenses- The State of Colorado issues drivers’ licenses, and the only such issuing office in Summit County is located in Frisco at the County Commons below the main branch of the Summit County Library.
Vehicle registrations, titles, and license plates– Summit County Government handles vehicle registrations, titles, and license plates and are located across the foyer from the State of Colorado driver’s license office at the County Commons upstairs and next to the Summit County Library.

Location: 0037 Peak One Drive, Frisco, Colorado 80443. Accessed from the downstairs entrance which faces Highway 9.

- Motor Vehicle Records- May be obtained at this location
- Written Test- Regular vehicle, Motorcycle, Commercial driver license
- Reinstatement- Reinstatement services are available at this location
Summit County Motor Vehicle Office for Motor Vehicle Registrations
0037 Peak One Drive in Frisco, CO 80443 on the upstairs level. It is most easily accessible from the upper parking lot near the Frisco Main Branch Library.

Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Tips
- Appointments are not required for motor vehicle visits
- Bring secure, verifiable identification and proof of Colorado Auto Insurance for the vehicle you are intending to register. Digital insurance cards are accepted.
Skip the Trip to the DMV – Renew Remotely or at a Kiosk!

- By mail: Mail to the address on your renewal postcard, include a check and copy of proof of Colorado Auto Insurance if indicated in red on the front of the card.
