Frisco BBQ Challenge Survey- We Want Your Input

Take the BBQ Survey

The Town of Frisco is seeking feedback regarding the future of the Colorado BBQ Challenge and is requesting that interested residents, businesses, and visitors take part in a 10-minute survey to provide Frisco Town Council with thoughtful input about the event. Later this summer, Frisco Town Council will have a discussion about the BBQ Challenge moving forward, and any potential changes that would better reflect the character and priorities of the Town and its residents and businesses. The BBQ Challenge survey will remain open at FriscoBBQ.com until Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 5:00pm.

2021 Cancelation

The 2021 BBQ Challenge, which was originally scheduled to happen June 17-19, was canceled in March 2021 due to ongoing uncertainty around public health conditions and orders. After postponing and then canceling the event in 2020 due the pandemic, the Town of Frisco had hoped that this event could be held in 2021 to honor what is now a 28-year-old tradition. While case data was improving and vaccination rates were rising at the time that this decision was made, it had become clear that the conditions were still too unpredictable to responsibly use Town resources on an event which typically draws 12,000-14,000 attendees over two days and normally takes a solid nine to ten months to plan.

Frisco Town Council wants to hear from the community about the experiences at and the impacts of the BBQ Challenge on the community and businesses. They are looking for meaningful feedback to inform this discussion, so we encourage anyone who is interested to take six to ten minutes to provide your input,” stated Vanessa Agee, Town of Frisco Director of Communications.
