Meeting Information
Cold water sets a perfect trap for anyone who doesn’t take it seriously. Find out why falling into cold water is a life-threatening situation that frequently results in rapid drowning – even for people who consider themselves good swimmers. Join instructor Amy McNeil with the Coast Guard Auxiliary on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Frisco Bay Marina to learn more about cold water immersion and water safety while kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and boating. Amy has been a Coast Guard Auxiliarist for 14 years with emphasis on Public Affairs, RBS, and Sudden Cold Water Immersion education. She has lived in Colorado for more than 60 years observing tornadoes, floods, avalanches and severe weather events. This has led to her passion to share valuable information with the public about recreational boating safety.
Join Amy for a free 30-minute information session at 10:00 AM or 11:30 AM. Classes will be held at the Frisco Bay Landing in the flex space. Registration is not required.
