Back to Voluntary Water Use Restrictions

The Town of Frisco has lifted Phase Two mandatory water use restrictions, which were enacted on August 15, 2025. This action follows a rise in North Ten Mile Creek’s flow to above the State’s minimum requirement of 2.50 CFS.

Back to Phase One Voluntary Water Restrictions

Frisco has rarely needed to move to mandatory restrictions. The last significant water shortages occurred this year with Phase Two water restrictions, and during the summer of 2012, when drought conditions forced the Town to turn off the water treatment plant. Yet, the Town encourages voluntary water conservation year-round to minimize the chance of mandatory water restrictions. Thank you for doing your part as we enter back into voluntary water restrictions.

Phase One voluntary restrictions

  1. Irrigation, sprinkling or otherwise applying water to a lawn or other area of land on which grass is grown, or intended to be grown, is encouraged on the following schedule:
    • Zone 1 – Last whole number in address is even so the watering schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday overnight from 6:00pm – 9:00am.
    • Zone 2 – Last whole number in address is odd so the watering schedule is Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday overnight from 6:00pm – 9:00am.
  2. Flowers, decorative plants, bushes and trees may be watered at any time and on any day and watering should be done by way of drip irrigation or by hand using a watering can or a hose with an automatic shut-off valve.
  3. Water users should voluntarily refrain from:
    • Using a hose to wash any structure, motor vehicle, or boat if the hose is not equipped with an automatic shut-off valve.
    • Washing any paved area.
    • Serving water to a customer of a restaurant without the customer making a request.
