Meadow Creek Pond, located in the park behind Walmart in Frisco, is now closed to ice skating and any other uses, including ice fishing, due to unseasonably warm temperatures. Thinning ice, standing water, and inconsistent surface conditions have made it unsafe to maintain and to use.
“Danger, Thin Ice, Keep Off” signage has been posted around the pond, and ropes surrounding the inflow and outflow areas have been removed. Park visitors are asked to respect the closure and exercise caution near the shoreline.
