The Frisco Public Works Department and third-party contractor, Metro Pavers, Inc (MPI), started work on resurfacing projects throughout the Town of Frisco on Monday, June 15, 2026, and work will continue into July. MPI will resurface over 165,000 square feet of Frisco road surfaces and over 44,000 square feet of parking at the Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area ballfield lot, and they will replace six concrete drainage pans at intersections. These projects and related street closures will have an impact on traffic and will be signed several days prior. This work aligns with the Town’s commitment to prioritizing maintenance of Town infrastructure.

Mill and Overlay

During a mill and overlay, the top layer of old asphalt is ground off, and tack oil is placed on the existing road to help bind the new asphalt. A new layer of asphalt is then applied, creating a roadway that is uniform in color, quality, and level.
