The Frisco Public Works Department and third-party contractor, Metro Pavers, Inc. (MPI), will begin concrete replacement projects throughout the Town of Frisco between August 3-10, 2026, and will last for approximately three weeks. The work includes replacement of damaged sidewalks, curb and gutter, curb ramps, valley pans, and related concrete infrastructure on Town streets, parking areas, and properties. Related street closures that will have an impact on traffic will be signed several days prior. This project prioritizes improvements and safeguards critical pedestrian access, drainage, and snow removal operations, directly supporting the Town’s commitment to maximizing the longevity and maintenance of its public infrastructure.
Timing and Affected Areas
MPI will be working on about 60 locations in the core of Town, the Marina and neighborhoods. Temporary impacts will include closed parking spots, minor detours near the drain pans, and a one- to two-day closure of Galena Street alley between 4th and 5th Avenues and at 7th Avenue and Granite Street. These two closures and their detour routes will be clearly signed and announced several days in advance. Concrete replacement will start between August 3-10 and is likely to continue through August for approximately three weeks. Work will be underway Mondays-Thursdays from 7:00am until 7:00pm.
Impacts
Weather and general conditions will determine the schedule which is why mill and overlay operations will be signed on specific streets shortly prior to the work being performed. Motorists in those areas are urged to look for those signed notifications. Motorists are asked to please respect traffic control flaggers, follow signage, and avoid impacted roads whenever possible.
