Find out more about Xcel’s plans to reduce natural gas use by providing rebates, incentives, and other approaches to ensure energy resiliency and reliability.

Xcel’s Approach to Non-Pipeline Alternatives

  • Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency programs help customers reduce their natural gas use by offering rebates for appliance upgrades, home insulation and air sealing and other energy-saving measures.
  • Conservation
Conservation programs help customers reduce natural gas use during peak demand. This may include using seasonal messaging and incentives to join thermostat-adjustment programs that ease system strain.
  • Electrification
Electrification programs, also known as strategic or beneficial electrification, involve replacing direct fossil fuel use (such as natural gas) with electricity to reduce overall emissions and energy costs.
