Public Works

The Public Works Department is dedicated to performing essential municipal services for its citizens and visitors. The department employs 25 full-time employees and consists of seven divisions.

Municipal services include maintaining Frisco’s streets in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining Frisco’s parks for the enjoyment of citizens and visitors, providing high quality domestic water service through the Town’s water system, servicing and maintaining Town-owned buildings, and keeping all Town-owned vehicles and equipment well-maintained.

Administration

The Public Works Administration team assists with the development of the five-year capital improvements plan, project management for capital projects (design, inspection and construction), and provides plan reviews for all proposed projects.

Construction: Excavation, Water & Sanitation Permits & Processes

Public Works issues all utility excavation and right-of-way work permit applications within the Town. Public Works also handles water inspections, water tap fees, and water meters.

Engineering / GIS / Capital Projects

Public Works manages engineering and capital projects for the Town and coordinates GIS services.

The Fleet Maintenance Division maintains and repairs all Town vehicles and equipment.

The Grounds Division is responsible for all of the parks, grounds, and open spaces in the Town.

Request for Proposals (RFP) / Bids

The Town uses outside sources to provide professional services, construct capital projects, procure supplies and equipment, and provide services for day-to-day operations and maintenance through an RFP/bid process.

The Streets Division maintains public street right-of-way, alleys, surface and storm drainage, signage, and streetlights.

The Facilities Division is responsible for year-round maintenance and operations of all Town owned buildings.

Water

Town of Frisco water is produced from the Wayne Bristol Surface Water Treatment Plant, the primary water supply for the Town.
