Electric Bike Rebate Program Available to Summit County Residents

The Colorado Energy Office is offering point-of-sale rebates for electric bike (e-bike) purchases made from participating retailers. Eligible Colorado residents can receive up to $1,100 for a qualified e-bike purchase, plus other incentives such as equipment rebates and more. To be eligible for the e-bike rebate, purchasers must be a resident of Colorado, 18 years of age or older, and meet the income qualifications. The deadline to apply for the e-bike rebate is Monday, November 13, 2023 at 4:00pm.

Bike retailers who would like to become an authorized dealer can sign up by filling out the Bike Retailer Application on the Colorado Energy Office website.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for an e-bike purchase, applicants must be a resident of Colorado, 18 years of age or older, and income-qualified. Proof of a physical Colorado address is required, documents that are accepted are located on the Colorado Energy Office website. Income eligibility is determined by income and household size, based on the Area Median Income (AMI) index for the county of residence. To meet the low-income rebate qualifications, the applicant’s household income must be below 80% AMI and to qualify for the moderate-income rebate the applicant’s house income needs to be between 80%-100% AMI.
