Sustainability Opportunities for Residents and Businesses

The High Country Conservation Center (HC3) is currently highlighting two of their sustainability programs for the open to the Summit County community.

Recycling & Composting at Your Business -Workshop

Find out about  recycling and composting options and benefits for businesses in Summit County, and what the best practices are for those just getting started.

Participants will come away with a general understanding about what it takes to set-up recycling and compost collection service, what materials are accepted, and resources and rebates available to make it happen. A local business will  also share its experience setting up compost and glass collection, followed by a Q&A session at the end of the workshop.

This workshop is free and open to any business, HOA, etc.

HC3 and Summit Climate Action Collaborative are offering local residents and businesses a limited-time discount on solar panel installation through June 30, 2021. This is a community program, which means the more people that go solar, the more everyone saves.

The Solarize Summit program offers:

  • Limited $1,500 rebates
  • Up to $500 program rebate
  • 26% Federal tax credit
