Police Department Remodel to Begin May 2, 2022

The Frisco Police Department offices, which are at Frisco Town Hall at 1 Main Street, will be undergoing a much anticipated remodel and expansion with demolition work starting on May 2, 2022; demolition work is expected to go through May 13. Demolition work will be from approximately 6:00pm-7:00am each night to mitigate the impact on police and town hall operations. In order to allow for afterhours demolition work and formally inform neighbors of this demolition work, the Town applied for and was issued a permit to exceed noise ordinance limits, which accommodates afterhours work, which must be permitted per Town code.

On March 8, 2022, Frisco Town Council approved a contract with MW Golden Constructors for the remodel of the Police Department at a cost not to exceed $1,576,791. The Frisco Police Department offices, located within Frisco Town Hall, were last remodeled 22 years ago in 2000. Due to the extensive growth that Frisco and Summit County have experienced, the department has outgrown their current space and is in need of a remodel and an expansion to enable them to better utilize their existing space and move into space in town hall that has been used for storage in the past.

This remodel and expansion is intended to provide more suitable facility to accommodate police operations in order to better serve the community and to aid in the recruitment and retention of officers. It is anticipated that the project will take seven and a half months to complete.
