Two Frisco Road Closures Next Week

Starting next week, the Frisco Public Works Department will be removing parklets from Main Street, and third-party contractors will be working on installing conduits on a small portion of the roundabout at Highway 9/Water Dance/County Commons. These projects will all have an impact on traffic, and these operations and related closures will be signed several days prior. Residents and visitors are being asked to plan ahead and allow more time for travel, as the crews complete these projects, and the Town of Frisco thanks all residents and visitors for their patience.

Main Street Closure on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm

The Frisco Public Works Department will be closing Main Street from 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm to remove 38 parklets in front of 17 local businesses. A detour will be in place to divert traffic from Main Street onto Granite Street.

Highway 9 Partial Roundabout Closure from Tuesday, October 3 – Friday, October 6

Third-party contractors will be installing conduits from the center of the Peak One Boulevard/ Water Dance roundabout to the median located to the south on Highway 9. A conduit is a tube or pipe that protects electrical wiring. This will result in only a small portion of the roundabout being closed from Tuesday, October 3 through Friday, October 6, 2023, with a signed detour in place. Variable message signs have been placed along the route to give the public advanced notification of this closure so they can plan ahead.

They can then make a right hand turn back onto northbound Highway 9.
