Public Comment Period avaiable through Thursday, May 7th on a Proposal for the Possible Reduction in Health Premiums
On May 2, the Colorado Division of Insurance announced a proposal that would very likely reduce health insurance premiums for Summit residents. Within Colorado’s geographic rating system, DOI has proposed merging the existing Resort Region (including Summit County) with the West Region, thereby creating a larger pool of health insurance plan participants. If implemented, the proposal would take effect Jan. 1, 2015.
DOI is accepting public comment on the proposal through this Wednesday, May 7. The Summit Board of County Commissioners is urging community members to submit their comments by the May 7 deadline to DORA_georatings@state.co.us. The BOCC asks for your help in spreading the word.
